The Rabbit’s Bride
The Rabbit’s Bride is a short fairy tale that begins with a woman and her daughter, who own a charming cabbage garden. When a rabbit continues to eat their crops, the mother sends her daughter to chase the rabbit away. But the rabbit tries to trick her, inviting her to sit on his tail and visit his home. The daughter is able to resist twice, but gives in on the third day. Once at the rabbit’s house, he reveals his designs to marry her, plans a wedding feast, and invites his friends - including a fox for the clerk, and a crow for the parson!
