Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp

The text in The Seven Voyages of Sinbad is excerpted from "The Arabian Nights Entertainments," translated from the French by Andrew Lang and illustrated by H.J. Ford. Lang's source text for the work was the extensive translation by Antoine Galland, completed and published in French in 12 volumes between 1704 and 1717.

In addition to all seven of Sinbad’s voyages, The Seven Voyages of Sinbad also features a bonus story: Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp. Aladdin is the son of a poor tailor, who torments his mother with his laziness . . . until one day he meets a magician from Africa who tries to trap him to a small cave. Read the tale to find out what happens when Aladdin finds a mysterious lamp and takes on his magician nemesis . . . .
