The Winning of a Sword: This book is the first of the three parts from Howard Pyle’s Book of King Arthur. It tells of King Arthur's journey to the Valley of Delight, his battle with the Sable Knight, his first meeting with Lady Guinevere, the appearance of the Lady of the Lake, and the pursuit of Excalibur the Sword. This book is 92 pages long, and contains a handful of illustrations from Howard Pyle.
